I change my mind about Peter Quillin

I dont like to change my tune but after reviewing Quillin's career set, I have a totally different view..
He's certainly not the best MW lol nowhere near it.. it's like watching a fine ass girl but once u fuck her and see her naked, u realize she's not what u thought she was..
I was studying him real closely and im thinking, Floyd would beat him...
If Floyd wants to do something spectacular and shut everybody up, he should fight Quillin.. EZ fight to make too..

I think Quillin would win by ko... Quillin is really a ready Super Middle that should be a LH, but decides to fight at MW because he can and he can stay in shape for it.

Floyd fighting Quillin would be akin to Jones fighting Ruiz. Public perception is that Quillin is the weakest of the champs at 160, like Ruiz was at the time Jones beat him. That perception probably mirrors reality too. It's still a risk though, yet one that is likely to go unrecognized. So you end up with the risk of fighting someone 2 weight divisions above you without the cache that comes with 'Heavyweight Champion of the World' that Jones got. Why wouldn't Floyd just fight Shawn Porter? Wouldn't the risk reward deal be about the same?
Also your analogies are fairly cringeworthy.

		Quillen-Floyd like Ruiz-RJJ?!?!?!
Petey can punch man...he's much more of a dangerous fighter than John Ruiz was.
That said Floyd will never fight a middleweight

I think Quillin would smother him and maul him... Quillin won't be afraid of taking a shot and will catch Floyd in the cross-hairs.

I like Quillen and his herky jerky nature, give him time he could get to world class.

He is a gritty type of fighter than just works out wins.... he is a gritty winner... a mix between Trinidad/Hagler/Hopkins...

... also, even though Wright was old, he beat Wright to the punch and showed some boxing and counter-punching ability. Winky Wright is no slouch and slick boxer and was known for his defensive skills primarily... those defensive skills don't go easily and prolongs careers.

Quillen is refreshing compared to many pompous boxers I hear lately. I'm a fan of his partly due to his personality. I was disappointed with his performance against Rosado. I think I built him up so much in my head I was expecting a blowout. Still, he got the win and I expect to see good things from him in the future.
