Took these today at local festival

Its called Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous. It was -35 so I rushed a little on the pictures.

Team Alaska. A cabin. You can see the model they used on the left. Picture does not do it justice. They have it hollowed out with ice windows. Just incredible.

Judging is today. I really like the Pirate to. I'm just about to go find out. A few local guys travel the world doing it and have won world championships.

Team Alaska won by a large margin and rightly so. That thing was unreal up close.

In those sort of extreme temperatures, do they go at these carvings in bursts and head inside for a break all the time and do like 20 minutes on 20 miniutes off or something?
