Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
Get a load of Floyd's constant facebook updates on how his fight against Maidana is going to be difficult and how he will face another tough opponent in Khan should he beat Broner.
Always trying to convince everyone that they are worthy opponents and refusing to even acknowledge Pacquiao. I'm sick to death of it. Who is he trying to kid!
Everybody knows that Khan and Maidana are big underdogs and are not of the calibre of a Pac Man fight.
Seems he is scrambling to maintain his legitimacy now. Really sad state of affairs for the so called lb for lb champ!!
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
Bradley and Pacquaio are def more worthy opponents.
However, Canelo was a really credible opponent for Floyd imo. Can't knock him there.
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
I am not. It was a crowning achievement how he handled so flawlessly such a dangerous opponent. However his avoidance of Pac Man for years has left a bitter taste in my mouth.
I give Floyd full credit for all his opponents. He may very well be the best but these are clearly fights he is taking to "make up the numbers" closer to 50 wins. They are stay busy fights that he is expected to win easily.
How he expects anybody remotely knowledgeable about boxing to swallow such garbage is a bit demeaning really.
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
I fancy Khan to give Pbf a harder fight than Pacquiao would.
But who cares, no one will ever be happy because no one Floyd can fight is on his level.
He's always going to fight underdogs.

Khan has the speed but not the power or the experience or the chin.
If it's how you say it is then what has Floyd got to lose?? Public opinion and money dictate that Pac is who he should fight. If it is in reality an easier fight than Khan then all the better for Floyd.
I'd say the main reason Pac Man is the only fight that makes sense to most is because it is the only one I can envision remotely competitive (there are others too but I see this one as being necessary.)

I don't disagree that Pac deserves it more mate, I just believe that Khan is probably quicker than Floyd, and Floyd ain't got the power to trouble him.
Believe me the worst thing you want is someone as fast as Khan coming forward knowing you ain't got shit for his chin.
Pac does deserve it but, he's not at his best and any chance he had of beating Floyd is long gone.
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
Yeah sure I was always of the opinion that Floyd COULD beat Pac but that's not the same thing as actually beating him is it.
I think Mayweather will knock Khan out. Floyd's shots are not THAT weak. They are so well timed and sharp and will add up to too much well before the end of 12 rounds imo.
Hell much longer and he may have even stopped iron chinned middleweight chinned Canelo!
Thing is Khan might have the raw speed edge but it will not appear that way for long. Floyd's punch timing and defence is so much better and is also very fast.
Even the faded Pac is fast but also tough and powerful and definitely more skilled. He's still in another league than Khan imo but hopefully we will see.
Mayweather incidentally sees Pac as more of a threat since he does absolutely everything to avoid fighting him.
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
I think Maidana is a credible opponent. Not as good as Pac or Bradley, but he's certainly credible.
And why would Floyd talk about Pacquaio in his lead up to Maidana? He's trying to promote his fight, not Pac's fight.
Re: Floyd and his shameful self-promotion
I would love for him to get beat before he hit 50 but it will not happen. He will never fight Manny whilst Arum is alive.

He could get better, Floyd did.
