When "Ring of Diamond's" was announced we all knew Takuma Inoue (1-0), the younger brother of Naoya Inoue, was going to be fighting a world ranked opponent. What we didn't know at the time was who that world ranked foe would be. We had expected a fringe world ranked foe, one of those fighters who is ranked on the basis either a long unbeaten record against nobodies or a big win a few years ago.
We had expected someone like Edwin Diaz (16-18, 5) who is ranked #12 by the WBC or someone of that ilk.
What we hadn't expected is that Inoue would be going in against a genuinely respected opponent who is ranked by all 4 of the title organisations and who scored a major win just a few months ago. It's not someone like Diaz that will be fighting Inoue, instead it will be Thailand's Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr (23-2, 15).
If you recognise the name that'll be because Fahlan stopped former WBA Minimumweight champion Ryo Miyazaki on New Years Eve in a stunning upset, one of the biggest upsets of the year.

Not surpised cuz lil enoue, just like his big bro is a super prospect..
While guys in europe are making a big deal out of overrated loma fighting for titles in his second pro bout, asian fighters have been doing this shit since way back.. only difference is, super asian prospects actually win titles early!

I know it's not quite the same but within 10 fights some of the top Asian's are often battling the best Latin American's. Just look at Naoya Inoue (6 fights), Nobuo Nashiro (8 fights), Yoko Gushiken (9 fights).

i dont care about race, more the culture of boxing. when it comes down to it, most of these people who live in asia fight there exclusively which is fine, but their competition isnt as good. for example, chris john was a really good fighter but never left his country and failed to become great. you can exclusively fight in the US and be the best because the majority of the best fighters in the world come here to fight.

We saw a VERY average Japanese fighter, Yasutaka Ishimoto, beat on a former world champion, WV2, last year and later this year he fights Avalaos, Ishimoto is about the 4th best in Japan at 122.

Miura wanted to fight Mares on the Mayweather under-card though it seems Mares wants none of it, I assume he hadn't seen Miura before the negotiations began

and WV2 proved himself to be a world class fighter:rolleyes: an old arce beat him up. so you are saying that chris john fought equal or better competition than the other featherweights of his era who fought over on the western hemisphere?

i never said that some of them didnt want to fight bigger names. the original argument was that people were making a big deal about loma fighting salido for his second fight but people in asia fight good fighters in their early career all of the time. and i said that salido is a world class fighter unlike who this other guy is fighting for his second fight.
