Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
It's always Andre Berto!!!
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
Didnt he just get koed in his last fight? He is done
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
Doesn't take much training to wait until the fighters are seated between rounds and hold that big card high above your head ???
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
Ortiz should retire after this fight.
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
Victor Ortiz has been a faded fighter ever since his loss to Mayweather

Floyd had nothing to do with that. Ortiz has lived off his great win against Berto but the broken jaw injury did certainly affect his career.

Both physically and psychologically... he is a guardian guy now. A gatekeeper. The guy that the guys that want elite, top dollar fights, MUST beat up on.
I'd retire if I were him... unless he gets a Pacman fight or a Canelo fight (Canelo fight would be useless for everyone involved) then I'd say take it for top dollar. But, he's done as a premier name for premier matchups.

Ortiz is te next emman augustus minus the skills
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
he isnt mentally strong enough to keep on competing at the top level.
Re: Victor Ortiz training with Joel Diaz... fighting on Floyd undercard
He's very fortunate that he managed to parlay his mediocre boxing career into achieving some name value, otherwise his career would be over.
Floyd is using his name to sell more tickets with non-boxing fans who recognize the name but don't know he's shit.

Only relevant fight that's left for ortiz is a rematch with Berto. These guys need each other right now and the timing couldn't be better.
First fight was very close and I actually think berto wins the rematch. Even in bouts where he lost, berto has shown a lot of heart and that would be the deal breaker here.
Victor might be able to get up for this fight as well.

I'm down with this. First fight was fun. And they're both pretty useless at this stage. Be a good fight to open the PPV with
