Wow, I thought for sure they were going with Broner vs. Molina on the Mayweather undercard. I'd also heard that Fidel Maldonado Jr. was being lined up for Matthysse so I'm surprised they've gone in this direction.

Lucas shot down the rumor.. he's not fighting maldonado on floyd undercard as reported..

I like john molina as his opponent. I dont know why people are sleeping on him.

Considering Matthysse lost his last fight Molina isn't a bad opponent. I would have preferred Herrera after his performance last weekend. I can understand not taking fight against a boxer though after his first loss. He should beat up Molina, but with Molina, you never know, the guy's a beast too.

Lucas is overrated.. i always knew maidana was a notch above him.

Very overrated.. I knew Garcia would show him up too when everybody and they mama picked lucas via early KO. Smh lol

I'm a fan of Lucas. I like him. I probably overrated him. It's hard not to like a puncher, isn't it? Ask yourself though when was the last Lucas fight you didn't have fun watching? Garcia-Matthysse stole the show last May.

Lucas also beat up Lamont, Judah and Alexander, even if on the books, he lost those fights.

If Garcia doesn't face Herrera in a rematch and stays at 140, he should face Lamont in a unification bout. Both are GB and Haymon. Make it happen.

You picked Lucas in that fight too. You changed from Garcia to Lucas a few days before the fight.

Molina is a smallish lightweight. He'll get stopped early. Its a confidence building fight for Matthysse so no major issue with it.

Molina is decent and not one to doubt himself vs Matthysse. It'll be a tv friendly fight that Matthysse should command down the stretch for a tko. I thought they would have tried to get Mickey Bey his rematch, but its probally best for him they didn't.

I am just glad Lucas is back in the ring as it has been far too long.
