DOOMSDAY - APRIL 8 2014 - What are you going to do ?

For Windows XP :-\ ;D

So Microsoft the lovely open hearted well meaning corporation will be rewarding customer loyalty by ceasing all support of Windows XP on April 8th. It is estimated that one in three PC's around the world still use XP as an operating system. That includes,shops and businesses as well as home users.

There is a reason for this. XP is stable and lots of people are skint.

Microsofts answer ? Buy a new PC.

What are your plans ? Just go offline with your XP PC and use your phone or another PC for the internet?

Buy a new PC ?

Carry on regardless and when Microsoft Security Essentials support ends just use third party anti-malware and other security packages.?

I have xp I am still going to use it after doomsday.

Can you not just install doomsday over your existing windows platform, what's with the buying a new PC:confused: I have a macbook, and linux on my home computer which I use for absolutely nothing. Have been thinking I should splurge on a new comp anyways, but now I'm confused:p..

Oddly enough, I just purchased a Commodore 64 and Amiga 500. Both still in the original boxes from an estate sale for 50 clams.

I'm going to install 3.1 or win98 and give that a go.
