Master Marquez will give Alvarado a f**kin Boxing lesson

Some guys keep saying that alvarado is a good technical boxer... well he's not. He appeared to be a better boxer than he really is because Rios and Provodnikov are one dimensional.. if he tries to box with the master boxer he's going to look like a fool.. he better off being himself..alvarado is a banger..
He's nowhere near Marquez' league and you guys will see a demolition job.. all I want to know is, can Alvarado absorb the punishment for 12 rds?

Marquez ought to win this and only have problems in the early rounds or so.
Alvarado is about on par with Kermit Cintron at his best, but with a bit more mettle.
That level I'd say.

I have no doubt marquez to going to beat on this kid but its not going to be a walk in the park. This boy is to damn stupid for that. He is bigger than diaz, so im looking forward to see this one. Fight of the year canidate.

If I was going to back an underdog it would not be this one.
Marquez KO and it will be easy work! ;)
Tough AND technical is a tough meal to digest.

He is ageing sure but he is a tremendous athlete. I mean these guys are not like they used to be, 40 is the new 30 these days ;)

Alvarado has good basic skills but that's it, he's a great athlete but when the pressure gets put on he gets befuddled and he doesn't know what to do.
JMM is going to take him to school.

Marquez was never known for speed, even at a young age, and it's only natural for a fighter like that to get slower as he bulks up for higher weights..
He is about timing and it's still there.

As long as those 40 year olds aren't matched with good 25-30 year olds sure. I've always really liked Marquez but I think quite a few guys at 147 could take him out now. Alvarado is not one of those. I think the TR stable is benefitting greatly from the cold war. It always sticks out in my mind how when MAB was matched against the completely average Rocky Juarez Emmanuel Stewart said "you don't want to match older fighters against young lions". I laughed it off because it was Rocky frickin Juarez then I watched Rocky frickin Juarez give MAB all he could handle. That's how this cold war works. Manny and Marquez will never "get old" as long as they fight each other because they're both eroding at the same speed. Put them in with a Thurman type though, a guy you would think they should beat and I suspect we'd be surprised by how fast, strong, and most importantly ferocious he would appear. Not because I think so much of Keith Thurman but because he's not in a new age prime but simply prime.

Yeah you make a good point actually there Swanson. I guess Marquez is going to find it increasingly difficult from here out to be sure.
I still think he will produce here though.

Incase anybody accuses marquez of ducking provodnikov, here's an article on why he chose Alvarado.. it very simple really but some haters want to ignore his goal.

Marquez is a great fighter, but like any great fighter he has got old. At his best he boxes Alvarado's head off, but Marquez isn't getting any younger. Marquez should win, but I don't think it will be easy at all with age leveling it out somewhat.
