Porter says that's he doesn't like Brook because " I dont know him and I dont think he deserves to fight me " ... What the fuck does that mean.. how can you not like somebody you dont know?

From his initial reaction, not knowing who Brooks is, my guess is he probably is thinking about getting a much bigger payday.

He said "I don't like him", a direct translation of precise meaning of that statement is I do not get joy from him. That's reasonable to not take joy from someone you don't know. Porter is just trying to find a bigger opponent in the States to fight to earn as much money as possible whilst he has a belt. He knows that its likely the fight will be in England because it can generate more money and Eddie Hearn will pay a shit load if it goes to purse bids.
In Porter's defense, Brook looks to have only fought on this side of the pond once. (3 years ago in jersey). So that could explain the don't know him comment. As far as not deserving to fight him. He's a mandatory so the sanctioning body says different, but to look at it from porters perspective... Brook's lacking a high profile win, a US fan base maybe or some kind of trinket... Things that make this a high profile, money earning fight. It's the sad state of boxing that the boxing organizations have become so money grubbing (wba super super super duper champion, wbc diamond belts, champion emeritus status) that fighters choose to fight for street credit and to collect names rather than titles. It used to be that both the street and the sanctioning bodies had nearly identical rankings.
That being said a champion should defend his title...
Lets be honest Ingle fighters have always been a nightmare for anyone to look good against , let alone the fact Brook can fight.
I hate this part of boxing , I just hope the fight goes ahead.
my main problem is when fighters say that they will fight the best in their post fight interview but when they get challenged, they say that they dont want to fight certain fighters. i know that brook isnt the top of the division, but currently, he is one of the best people that porter can face at the moment. i think its a good fight to take.
most often in these situations, it seems like the fighter who refuses to fight, ends up taking an easier fight. if porter doesnt fight brook next, i doubt that he is fighting somebody on a higher level.
Brook has never impressed me and I don't see why porter would be scarred, I say if it happens porter gets him outa there inside the distance
