Michael Katsidis-Graham Earl Rematch Set For July 4 - Boxing News
Grahams punch resistance completely went around the time of this fight, i cant see this lasting more than a few seconds
Lol, stoked? They should just forget trainers and have paramedics in the corner. Neither of these guys should be fighting anyone, but I also think it ends early and badly for Earl.
That wasn't a good fight. That was a one way beating that looked competitive because Katsidis has no clue how to avoid being hit. I wonder...
Did Earl sell the referee's daughter to a pimp? Why else did he let the fight go on like that? After his corner threw in the towel, why did they keep sending earl out for more? How come neither of them knows how to not get hit?
That is shameful. Two guys with all the heart in the world, fighting like animals...because nobody taught them how to box. If they were bulldogs, somebody would get sent to prison for doing that to them.
Earl hasnt fought for 5 years.
There is jo way the BBBC would licence him. Which is why itll be in Oz.
Wtf is this all about...?
Strange one to have a rematch.
First fight was a belter and lets hope they can get Micky Vann back as the ref.
Who remembers him picking the towel up off the floor after Earls corner threw it in?
He threw it back at them and told them to keep fighting :)
This must be a late April Fools because this is ridiculous as asking Hagler and Hearns to have a rematch now. Yes the first fight was good but both fighters are retired and shot to pieces.
It's a shame to see Katsidis return.
He retired at the right time, and like most fighters, even fucked up his retirement.
I think thats a pretty brutal assessment of the first bout. True the fight was savage. "Fighting like animals because nobody taught them how to fight"? Well we both Katsidas has been a world class fighter with skills that in the past have tested the likes of Marquez. At the end of the day, styles make fights, and these two in the ring together resulted in a savage brawl. This match up may not have been a gentlemanly exchange of class boxing, but, in the words of ricky hatton "This aint a tickling contest".
The ref made a risky descision thowing out the towel, but the decision wasnt really up for debate when Earl put Katsidas's ass on the canvas seconds after. Earl was always in the fight, just getting hit a lot. He answered every flurry of punches with a right hand or combo of his own. It was right to end the fight when it ended.
Im shocked that there is a rematch. Shouldnt be happening at all in my opinion. I will watch, but I think it'll be a sorry site when Earl gets stopped in early rounds (even earlier than last time). And if Katsidas loses, that will be a depressing end on a whole different level. I hope its a better bout than expected, and I would love to see Earl win. Not gonna happen though. :toff:
