Shawn Porter and Keith Thurman would beat Mayweather's ass
Manny Pacquiao is an old cheater and doesn't have the pop in his punches anymore. Maidana did good against Mayweather but Mayweather adjusted and took over the fight, and would likely just fight a boring fight in a rematch for an easy win. Those two fights are pointless.
Shawn Porter or Keith Thurman would beat the shit out of Mayweather because Mayweather isn't as sharp or quick as he was and can't run from these guys all night. And these guys have too much EXPLOSIVE power for Money May.
Maidana has power but he's not explosive.
A guy like Thurman will punch someones head off and he hits like a heavyweight.

Maidana isn't a terrific athlete, but he is probably now much craftier than Porter or Thurman are, I wouldn't be confident either of those guys would improve on his success against Floyd just because they are more explosive.
Imagine if Floyd had never fought Canelo, would anyone not think he'd lose that fight were it being discussed today? Alvarez is more powerful than any of these guys, and it meant zilch. I would love to see Floyd fight Porter or Thurman though, and wouldn't favour him by much, don't get me wrong.

its not as much speed that floyd has trouble with but with awkward brawling. fighters like augustus, castillo, and maidana have been able to make the fight kind of ugly. if you cant make the fight ugly for floyd, you probably arent going to win. i just dont see thurman or porter being able to fight that fight.

You know what? The sad thing is we're never going to find out if I'm right or wrong, because Mayweather is not going to fight either of these guys.
He'll fight Maidana which will be an easy win, he'll probably fight Khan, and then he'll close his career out against Manny Pacquaio, who is already washed up and will be even worse a year and a half or two years down the road.
And you idiots are going to let him do it because you want to see a fight that mattered 5 years ago.

People who a) know boxing and b) are intelligent look at more than just records and accomplishments. That shit is just ink on a page. When two men get in the ring, it's about three things: physical, mental, and style.
Mentally, Floyd dwarfs these guys. Physically, he has deteriorated and even though he has great style, he doesn't want to have to deal with the style and physicality of these young guys.
It makes no sense for Floyd, at 38, to fight these young hungry lions who have tremendous athletic ability. He doesn't want to fight these guys. He's old and only has a few fights left, and he wants to gracefully ride out into the sunset against guys he can eat up like Maidana and Pacman.

I would prefer to see Thurman against Floyd next, at least he will do better and give it a go that Chino who is very limited.
I would not like to see Floyd fight Porter that would be too easy in comparison to the threat Thurman.
