Stevenson's promoter sees no problem with setting up Hopkins fight
Yvon Michel sees no problems with setting up a fight between Stevenson and Hopkins

Would you rather see this or a fight with Kovalev ?
Re: Stevenson's promoter sees no problem with setting up Hopkins fight
Hopkins v Stevenson is a natural unification fight, both want it so it needs to happen. Kovalev will get the winner.

Agreed and a real chance exists for the first undisputed champion in years. I suspect those pesky mandatory fights might get in the way but we shall see.

Those mandatories can be managed away if you get my drift. ;)

Sadly they can also be used as a crutch.
Something to think about: Did you notice Hopkins does not talk about Kovalev and neither does Stevenson. I'm sure they both heard his black man rant after his last fight and he does come across as a guy that might wear a gorilla suit to a hockey game when a black man is on the opposing team.
Its also pretty clear to me that Hopkins has some race issues as does Adonis. Not sure on Haymon but it would not surprise me if Kovalev gets FROZEN out.

Race will not get in the way of Hopkins v Kovalev as much as money, TV networks and right promoters

Id rather see Kovalev.
Bhop has a long history of taking guys like Stevenson and making them look like dog shit.

If you think back to when Oleg Maskaev had a belt, Hop was looking to go up in weight and fight him. Why was that? Because just like Kovalev, Maskaev had a big punch and was a sturdy guy, but came in straight lines and liked to load up on the right. Hop is too slick to lose to those types n he knows it. Stevenson is chinny, has stamina issues, n isn't very experienced. Hop eats him alive.
Both are extremely hard fights for Hopkins at his age and neither are formalities. Hopkins would fight it easier against Stevenson but I think Kovalev has the beating of B Hop.
Re: Stevenson's promoter sees no problem with setting up Hopkins fight
If Kovalev beats Pascal, and Stevenson beats Hopkins, a Kovalev-Stevenson showdown would be huge.
Re: Stevenson's promoter sees no problem with setting up Hopkins fight
Huh what is this about Kovalev being racist? Doubt a racist would allow himself to be trained by two black dudes and take orders from them...

I think it comes from Kovalev's comments towards Sillakh. Supposedly, he called black people "sun-burnt people".
