What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
I have found this story to be a really odd one. First off is his video where he constantly referred to being a virgin and did so again and again. Surely in your moment for the cameras you would say something philosophical and bold and not pout about not getting a shag and then his declaration of becoming a God? Just very corny. It was like something from Bottom. Not a bad looking chap and he drove a nice car, so I can only assume he was a bit weird and that turned the girls off. Their judgments appear to have been sound. Then also the combination of knives, gun, and car for ramming. The guy was clearly deranged.
By all accounts he should have been stopped sooner as there were a lot of warning signs about him even from family. Thoughts on this story?

Loser could not commit suicide and end his own worthless life so he has to make life hell for the people around him before he went to hell. I blame the parents.
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
I bet he had Aspergers syndrome
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
Apparently he did have Asperger's, but that doesn't explain it entirely. The kid has super rich parents and had nice cars and yet complained that he was still a virgin and then chopped, shot, and drove down a few of those who were probably 'getting some of what I'm not'. It's more the attitude of 'I have everything, but they won't give that to me. It should be mine.' His attitude is the ultimate nerdy rich boy consumerist. 'If I cannot have 'that' then I WILL have them'. A horrid little freak. With that kind of money couldn't he just buy a hooker or two? :-\
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
The guy has a weird attitude. He's not bad looking, comes from money, and even has a dad that's an assistant hollywood director. In Southern California, where it's basically the land of beautiful gold diggers, this guy should have been a pussy magnet. Just clearly weird and deranged.
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
People say socially awkward introvert teen and I say its nothing new. This could have been and often is now Anytown U.S.A. I think something can be said about the fact that more and more we cocoon ourselves into a bunker of self maintained media. Almost a falsified presentation. I cannot imagine nor would I want ever be a kid coming up now because I think they have not had to fully adjust or learn personal interaction. Cause & effect in a real life setting. Action and reaction with immediate effects rather than a buffer of social media. I dunno. That's not the cause for walking time bombs like this. I don't know that there is ever one "cause" for mass murder. We don't have that convenience. He came from a family of resource and wealth but in reality that doesn't mean anything if parents had their heads in the sand or substituted guidance with money and toys. Also think that in a situation like that the authorities took the family 'status' into account and ruled accordingly, thinking maybe they were doing a favor. It really does have all to do with informed parents willing to set aside "friendship" etc.
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
I think he was a piece of shit no good motherfucker.
22 year old rich kid driving a beemer, his mom and dad were Hollywood and he got to go to a bunch of red carpet movie premiers, and he couldn't get laid? Really??
Can you imagine what an insufferable prick/creep he must have been for no women to have any interest in him?

I have worked with several people now who have Aspergers or even more extreme forms of Autism and although it is true many can have difficulty empathising and understanding social etiquette and the emotional elements that govern relationships they are often very ethical and unable to willingly hurt others outside of their family group. The cold unfeeling violent nature attributed to autism is imho mostly a media and society construct.
Yeah it seems autism has gotten a bad rep because of the occasional school shooter you hear about it on the news, yet millions live productive, non-violent lives with autism.
Re: What do you make of this latest slasher/shooter/rammer madman?
I blame video games and heavy metal music.
Not really.
Someone will say it and I was the first. :lickish:
Heres how I read between the real headlines
Spoilt and socially immature 'El-idiot ' trundled out into a world of madness a victim in his own fragile mind, poor dickless wannabe fucker and shot a load with his mechanical penis gun.
Its just a shame his mechanical dick didnt go off half way through his video in the car.
They nearly got him, when you read what happened last month they should of pushed for a search warrant.
Frantic parents of shooting suspect Elliot Rodger raced to Isla Vista during rampage

Agreed its overused. Autism generally as well. One good friend of mine has Aspergers and is a genius but she routinely refers to herself as a functional sociopath. I tell her we all are in a way and she then sets out to explain the difference and I have to admit its a little scary. The disconnect she has. Oddly enough her daughter has been diagnosed with it. I always thought it would skip a generation. Autism seems to be diagnosed for normal behaviour at least here. Every behaviour these days categorized and put into a class.

True basic people stereotype or generalize when they are scratching for answers to somethings that are beyond them.
Heres something; good news, worth looking at.

The parents had that kid seeing psychologists and had done everything possible to stop him bar having him committed.
At some point the individual is responsible. He was just a hateful resentful guy.
