Will Vasyl Lomachenko receive fair officiating in California?

We all saw what happen in Texas, with referee Laurence Cole permitting Orlando Salido to punch Lomachenko in the genitals as much as he wanted to.

I have a bad feeling Lomachenko will be treated unfairly this coming Saturday, by the judges on the scorecards or by the referee during the fight.

Hopefully the shady California referee Jack Reiss will not be working the fight, he's as bad as Cole.

There are many examples of how a shady referee can help a home fighter:

- admonish the visiting boxer or even deduct points for perfectly legal blows
- not count knockdowns
- protect the home fighter by giving him time to recover when he's hurt
- let the home fighter hold when he's hurt
- give the home fighter an early/quick stoppage/TKO

etc.

I think they really want this to go over well. Oscar narrowly won the purse over Arum and Oscar is now in charge of his own affairs and has reached out to Arum to work together.

This will be much more of a boxing match then what we saw against the bull in the china shop Salido. Skill and speed vs skill and timing. Should be a hell of a scrap.

Russell is from DC. Why would California favor him?

Russell's home country is the USA and his promoter won the purse bid.

One of the major deficits he brings being only 0-1 is not being around long enough as a pro to know the judges will screw you no matter what your name is most of the time. I think they score by braille equally.

There is one cash cow and one major investment being handed a immediate second shot to get it 'right'...his name isn't Russell.

I just dont see any controversy in this fight. I suspect the winner to be clear.

It's official, the referee will be the shady Jack Reiss. :(

Lomachenko will be fighting two men in there on Saturday.
