I hear Garcia vs. Peterson 140 Unification for Aug 9th at Barclays, NY is close

I've heard that Danny Garcia may be fighting Lamont Peterson in the main event of a GBP show at the Barclays in New York on August 9th with Shawn Porter vs. Kell Brook on the undercard. Apparently it'll be announced soon.

Should be interesting . at least it's 2 meaningful fights. I think Garcia wins , but the Porter-Brook fight is a "pick em" in my book.

Should be a good scrap but I doubt that Peterson has what it takes to go through Swift Danny.

Peterson is still just a Matthysse KO victim in my eyes.

It's fucking ridiculous that he is actually considered a WORLD CHAMPION when he just got brutally beaten and KTFO a fight ago.

After losing to Herrera this would be a decent return match for Danny Garcia.

I can see this fight being competitive

good fight for garcia. then the winner of the two fights can fight each other at 147.

I don't know a thing about Brook, Porter has plenty of power so it should be interesting.
I'm thinking Garcia has an easy night but that's what I was thinking with Herrera too. Lol
Decided to check out Brook's record, he was in with some pretty soft competition at the beginning but is looking solid now, should be more than interesting, hopefully.

Garcia for me, Porter and Brook is where we find out if Kel has the mental fortitude to box in another mans back yard and bring home the goods, he has the skills does he have the brain to back it up.

Herrera kicked Garcia's ass for days.....it's ridiculous that he is considered a world champ instead of Herrera.

Would be a good card, I'm much more interested in Brook-Porter though, that should really be the main event. Garcia and Peterson both deserve to have lost their titles imo, and I could see this one being a pretty tricky fight for Garcia to look good in again, weird path he's taking since beating Lucas..

I think you will find that he got the decision and kept the title. :)
