Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
If this fight happens, who do you fancy?
I said before, that I thought DeGale was all wrong for Froch, I said I believed both Groves and DeGale could beat him, I was wrong about Groves but I wasn't way off.
I don't see Froch beating DeGale, I see a one sided, fairly boring fight going DeGales way.
It's hard because Groves is elusive and Froch had issues with that, but I'd say DeGale is far more elusive than groves and he's a southpaw.
I'd call it 116-112 DeGale.

Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
If Froch motivates himself again he will be too strong for Degale but if he is half arsed then he will get beat. Style wise Degale would be an elusive dilemma for Froch.

I think Froch will struggle to find him.
Not a good fight for Froch.
Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
its a hard one to call
how can you ever bet against carl froch
but I think degale is a lot better and a lot tougher than people seem to give him credit for
Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
As good as Carl looked in annihilating Georgie, it does look like he's starting to slip. Degales timing could be perfect or a little premature. He reminds me a little of Gamboa. Speedy, athletic and flashy but sloppy as hell. Timing could also be his downfall via a perfectly placed counter by the cagey Froch.
James may be to focused on somehow outdoing Mr. Groves instead of looking after his career. Its almost like he still has a bug up his ass over that loss which begs the question. Would a Groves rematch not be a natural right now and then Froch?

Hes always struggled with any movement.
Iv thought over the last year or so that DeGale would beat Froch. Froch is too slow and static for anyone who can move and put combinations together and a southpaw to boot. I think DeGale also has a good chin which will be a bonus.

True enough. He looked like a deer in the headlights with Dirrell but looks the wizard when a guy is right in front of him.

froch definitely isn't at his best against slick boxers
the dirrel fight was horrendous running rather than slick boxing tho, im not sure too many fighters would have landed too many punches on dirrel that night
and people always bet against froch, he looks like hes slow and doesn't box well and is easy to hit
but I think one day people are gonna have to accept he is none of those things
apart from perhaps easy to hit (at the very top level) :)
Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
I just don't see that Degale can hurt him at all.
He could run around and beat Froch on Points and the southpaw aspect will be another bonus.
There really is only one way to beat Froch (unless he has an off night) and that's to box him and stay out of the toe to toe stuff.
Degale has it in him to do the latter you don't win Olympic Gold unless you have some decent skills ;)
Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
For all DeGale's "slickness" he does get stuck with his back to the ropes regular. He'd probably run rings around Froch for a few rounds, not sure he could do it for 12 though.
Good fight but it's clear Froch is not interested at the moment.
Re: Carl Froch vs James DeGale.
For whatever reason Froch is clearly not attracting US interest in a match. His pipedream of a Vegas finish looks like turning to nothing, because the yanks just aint that interested. Sad but true, and you must feel sorry for the lad, for all his acheivements he still cant get the mega payday.
Domestically he could fight De Gay, and he would probably get his ears boxed off, or Groves V3 where he would probably get flattened. You have to feel sorry for the man. I hope he finds a good finale payday, but somehoe I doubt he will........
