Fitness and a running style
id like to just say I don't like running in boxing, back foots alright, but not a blatant pot shotting style
I don't know how many of you have actually boxed or are aware of the kind of fitness levels it takes to last just a few rounds in a competitive fight but I can tell you its very difiicult
but I find the most tiring style is a running style, moving forward is a lot less energy sapping I find, obviously there's a lot of other factors so its not as clean and dry as that but in general
does anyone else agree?
Re: Fitness and a running style
Do you want me to move this post to the lets talk running thread?

I just thought your "billy no mates" thread was not going nowhere. Hulk and NV Semen felt sorry for you.
...and yes I was showing off.

'Running' is a lot of wasted energy and motion. You can move effectively without skipping about. But most guys just start moving- 'staying away'- without purpose. ray Robinson, early on in his career, was called 'master of the science of wasted motion', but he got smarter. Same with Ali but, by the time he got smarter, he didn't have much left.
