Chavez vs Castillo

Top quality fight. Chavez at 21 0r 22 vs Castillo who was 27. To put this in perspective, Castillo had only lost to guys like Salvador Sanchez and Alexis Arguello before this. He dropped a decision to Juan LaPorte who, on his good nights, was very very good. He did like to party (I know guys that partied with him) and that probably is how he lost to Kelvin Lampkin, who he knocked out two months later. Skill level in this fight is very high.

Fantastic pace. The glove shaving is off putting but it's part of the sport. Castillos gloves looked fluffy compared to the shave gloves. If more fights were fought at that pace the ratings would be phenomenal

I wonder how much you 'train' a guy like Chavez. You can teach him to throw the punches, to avoid them, to move his feet...But is a guy born with the understanding of distance? The knowledge of the value of economy of movement? The accuracy of punches?
