Massively surprised and delighted with the American judges.
So shocked with those scores!
I just watched it as I was working early so couldn't watch it live.
When the UK judge scored it a draw, then they read out the 2 scores, I thought "typical american judges", but when they said NEW CHAMPION I was so amazed!
Brook deserved the win so clear in my book, I hate the idiot style Porter has, he was busy yes, but didn't land a great deal. God I'd love to see his punch land %. That was the same reason I scored Burns Beltran a draw, 100's of thrown punches but landed a very small percentage.
:D Go on Special K!

Despite what you think, American judges aren't as bias towards Americans as just bias towards stars. Other countries are way worse when it comes to judging for their countrymen. America is huge. If one person is from California and another from New York, they really don't care about each other. They are on opposite sides of the country and are completely different.
So in reality, I'm more surprised that they scored it for brook since porter is supposed to be the next big thing.

I didn't realize it was Dave Paris who scored it even, that so? Weird then as Jim Watt also had Porter winning on the sky broadcast, I really don't understand how anyone can come up with that unless they think they are watching something besides a boxing match. Brook seemed to have a couple of genuine fits, but other than that he controlled almost every round to me, granted not by a lot but he was the only guy landing clean. All Porter ever had going was that he seemed like the stronger guy who might win on attrition, but that went right out the window when he was the one who slowed down the stretch. Not a close fight to me, and not a good one either.

I was more meaning because the USA judges usually favor uneffective aggression, over effective punching. I wouldn't have been surprised had the judges scored it 119-109 in favor of Porter!
Glad they had some sense.

Jim Watt is a tallywhacker!
His scoring is always laughable.

It was good to see fair judges because Brooks was the better fighter and landing the better shots. Brooks was the home fighter, with the promoter, ready for a big fight with Thurman so it did not look good for Brooks.
