Saunders-Korobov WBO Title Bout in Play For Nov. 22nd - Boxing News
This will be a good fight and a great addition to the card. Imagine if Britain can get another world champion, that would be good and would no doubt set up some great fights in the future. You can already see Saunders-Eubank Jnr for the title now haha.

Arum was wiling to let Korobov fight Quillin, who would have been the odds-on favorite. He'll let him fight Saunders.

That's a result for Saunders (if it comes off). Good bill too (if it actually goes ahead).
Don't know much about Korobov, can't recall seeing him live, but on paper it looks a good match up for Billy Joe.

I do not know how good Korobov is? Saunders is decent, Quillin is world class and Eubanks has the potential to be world class. GGG is the best. Cotto is a pretender. Canelo wants to join soon.

My only comment on this is that if it goes ahead, it should be top of the bill, not on the undercard. A world title fight should carry more kudos than an all British dust up between 2 as of yet unproven at the top level Heavyweights.

So the W.e B.e O.bscure ignores its own established rankings based on a top contender "never meeting a top 15 fighter" :cwm13: ...and opt for a well connected and highly promoted guy who has never fought in the division...at all.
So I'm guessing they'll drop Saunders as #2 ??? You cannot make this shit up.

I don't disagree with anything you say, but the main problem is that Saunders got manouvered into a no.1 contender position in the first place without having beat any of their top 15 rated fighters. these ratings are all BS. For example, Warren is trying to sell the Haye/Chisora bout on the back of the winner taking on Klitschko.
We all know that whoever wins won't get the Klit fight. firstly because he doesn't have to fight a mandatory next, secondly , because he holds multiple titles , he can't fight all the mandatories at once , and Thirdly because Klitschko will fight who the fuck he wants to fight.
On the other side of it , Chisora already had a title shot at his brother and a.) did he deserve that and b.) does he deserve another shot before other contenders?

At this moment in time, anyone deserves a shot before Haye. He had a shot at Klitschko and made himself look a mug!
For Haye to be taken seriously he has to fight 2-3 fights with the standard of opponent increasing each time and ending up winning a final eliminator with a top 5 fighter.
there is no doubt that Haye has more talent than most out there, but he's got to stop looking for the easy , quick route, be patient and stop taking the piss out of the sport. in a nutshell, he has to decide whether he's a boxer or a circus act.
