Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
A lot of people (fans and casual fans) were obviously disappointed after his performance. Sure he won the fight, but he rarely initiated the action. Why would viewers believe he won't use the same tactics again in his next fight?
He'll still sell because of his name, but not like past events. People are getting tiresome.

I agree 200%. It was disgrace to the sport the way he won. Boxing greats are rolling over in their frikkin' graves at the fact that this fighter is considered boxings p4p greatest alive. TBE??
TBE at; running, fooling/buying refs & judges, elbowing, and making boring fights.
thats ok tho, that was the last time Mr Mayweather will get a dime off of me. life is too short to watch a sport i love very much become so corrupted and totally controlled by a charlatan like floyd.
u floyd nuthuggers knock yourselves out! I'm outtie.

The first Maidana fight was very, very exciting, thrilling even.
This rematch was really a dud.
Just an eyesore.
As a teacher, I had a good amount of kids in my classes (11th graders) asking me about the fight this weekend as they were going to watch it and most were rooting for Maidana.
Those casual fans will definitely be put off watching future Mayweather fights and put off watching boxing as well seeing as that fight sucked.
Re: Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
Maidana threw 300 less punches than the first fight.
Re: Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
i wouldnt be surprised but it depends on who he fights next. obviously if he fought pac next the PPV number would be huge.

No doubt. The Maidana series was by accident. The first fight was by mere accident and wasn't supposed to be something even in the realm of possibility. Maidana got that fight by beating Broner, an epigone of Floyd Mayweather. Soundly. Other than that, the first fight was by sheer accident and the second fight by even bigger accident. Who knew Maidana would do so well in the first outing?

Re: Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
Mayweather in the last round was akin to taking a second smoking break of the work hour. You cannot hold and run and expect people to pay the full fee. I hope the sales do plummet as PPV is nonsense anyway. 78 dollars to watch a fight? It's nonsense, talk about an inflated sense of worth. You watch it will end up being Andre Berto next.
Re: Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
I think Floyd's days of truly spectacular performances are over, he's going to play it very safe in the next two fights to keep his 0.
His craft is fantastic but he doesn't have the killer instinct, he has self preservation instincts only.
Re: Mayweather's next PPV sales will plummet.
I hope the figures do badly because he will continue to fight poor fighters. The only big ppv fight out there is Manny. Even now they are still regarded as the best 2 fighters at the weight. Floyd will not knock anyone out again. Where is the excitement?
