Shouldn't even be a consideration. This is a nothing fight. If Thompson wins, so what- he may fight the winner of Stiverne and Wilder. If Thompson loses, and Solis wins, nothing changes- Solis is no where near fighting Wlad, or Wilder/Stiverne.Quote:

Nothing. For him it's personal vindication. But this fight, for fight fans, means nothing. It doesn't change anything for any one of them. Solis was supposed to win, and Thompson was supposed to remain a gatekeeper.Quote:

When Thompson beat David Price twice, he created another buzz for himself. Beating Solis, because of Solis's injury after his ko loss to Vitali, and fighting relative nobodies afterwards before he went on to lose to Thompson.
Thompson also went on to lose to Pulev and Takam- the loss to Takam put him back to where he was before he beat Price. Basically a gatekeeper...
Meh I mean Tony has shown his standard. He's older now, he's going to start really slowing down, and so all this means is hopefully Tony will make a lot of money on this fight.
I would rather see both fighters take on different opponents because Solis isn't good enough to warrant a rematch and Thompson should get a fight where he can maybe get 1 more big payday
