Both turned pro after the 96 Olympics in 96.
Wlad has over 60 fights and Floyd has under 50. 62 for Wlad and 47 for Floyd.
For Wlad fighting in a more dangerous division for his entire career, while Floyd danced around with a few light hitters, who has the more credibility for longevity and fighting spirit?
I'll say Wlad. He lost and won after the loss and has remained undefeated for over 10 years. More active when his division has more heavier hitters.
THe heavyweight division has more heavier hitters, and Wlad won after he lost and remained undefeated. That's tough to argue with, great stuff as usual Duhmaja.

So since all HW's hit harder, every HW faces more dangerous opposition in every fight, to you? Why even compare a heavyweight with a welter anyways, how can you? Ever think maybe Wlad holds so much now in part because he's just as worn out as Floyd, and can get away with it against the big guys?
Wlad and Floyd have both been dominant champions with a similar approach to boxing. I rate Floyd as a lot better because of his inside skills, and the fact that he has the capacity to dig down and win a grueling fight. Guys have been able to pressure him effectively, get inside and land, and all it means is we ended up with really good action. Anyone who has ever been able to hit Wlad very much has either stopped him or evoked some awful holding, the best actual two way action fight he's ever won was probably the first Tony Thompson one imo.

This is pathetic. Floyd is a small man facing bigger men. Best of each division.
Wlad is a big man facing smaller men and still has been knocked out 3 times;D
Floyd is on another level. I don't consider the competition at heavyweight nearly as good or daunting as what u find at the lighter weights. If u think about, if a big guy can punch a little and keep or get himself in shape, he's going to beat the majority of guys he goes against. Every tournament I've ever been in or any card I've ever been to, the smaller guys fight like hell n show great skill while the big guys punch between hugging and resting.
Everyone knows smaller fighters have shorter careers because the depend on speed and larger fighters last longer because the don't. Power is the last thing to go.
