WBC, WBA & IBF meeting that will change boxing forever.
The meeting has already taken place and they looked at half point scoring of rounds, video replays, electronic scoring and even having a single "unique" Champion in each of the 3 governing bodies.
Anything that stops us getting bullshit criminal scoring results is welcomed 100% by me!
These changes have already been agreed and this will seriously change boxing as we know it....
Thoughts please?

I doubt anything they do will make any significant change to boxing as we know it.
Two primary reasons:
1. Scoring is subjective.
2. Recognization is governed independently.
We will still have disagreements about who won the fight and mixed bag of rankings, which are two of the biggest complaints about the sport of boxing.
The reason nothing will change as the result of bringing minds together, they all need to have that sactioning fee. The only a couple of ways I can think of that can change boxing, one is if a new governing body takes over the sport that elminiates the need for the alphabets. And another is if there is a fighters form a union and they collectively decide to follow only one organization.

The UK had half point scoring years ago. they got rid of 5 point scoring because, they said, losing a round by a point cost twice as much. The amateurs did real well with electronic scoring- going to that would make boxing an underground sport.

If they really wanted to help boxing they would all merge together and make one belt per weight class.

A meet up of gangsters ya say ??? Let us hope...honestly, the last thing we need is "reason" to manufacture yet another trinket. Simply allow and steer unification...and in the wbc case make sure your #2 has actually 'earned' the position, Saunders. Its a dog & pony show. Oh and fire a Judge every once in a while
