ref bayless interview on HBO
Has anybody seen this. I think it's fifteen minutes long but I keep missing it. I will catch it before the week is over but I was wondering if anyone caught it. Also, what are your opinions of him, personally I think he injects himself too much into a fight. He seems to like the camera a bit too much.
Re: ref bayless interview on HBO
He has that peculiar light footed duck walking thing that Mickey Vann had. There the similarities end. It was weird with Mickey because he used to say he stuck his arse out and shuffled on his feet because of his ballroom dancing days but I also think he used to play rugby league. Can't really see Kenny playing American football :-\;D In fact Mickey stuck his backside out so much he split his trousers once. They both love the limelight a bit much and whilst Mickey let both fighters fight on the inside, Bayless like Cortez seems allergic to it at times.
Re: ref bayless interview on HBO
Normally I think he is outstanding but lately he looks nervy and wayyyyy too involved. He did a fight on the Fortuna-Rodriquez undercard a few months ago and he was atrocious. Literally acted like a guy who was panicked ffs. Took his time letting Charlos last opponent get pummeled and bashed a bit.
Re: ref bayless interview on HBO
floyd def bought bayless for the night. it was hard to not see that.

Guys like Jay Nady and Mercante jr. r consistently bad in my opinion. Vic Drakulic also.
joe cortez? really? he is terrible.
Re: ref bayless interview on HBO
like has already been said, every ref has bad days but bayless has always been one of the best. i like smoger a lot too. my favorite refs are ones that rarely get involved. i want a ref that allows fighters to fight out of clinches themselves.
Re: ref bayless interview on HBO
Bayless is the best in the business. However, questions are raised with regard to that Floyd/Maidana 2 fight.
Floyd can buy everyone...

That was my original reason for starting the post. I still haven't caught it, and it doesn't look like anyone else has either. I checked and saw it will be on a couple times this weekend on hbo so I'm sure I should be able to see it.
I'm pretty sure it is going to be a positive iconic look at the guy, in other words it will be a fluff piece. None the less,I have my complaints about him but there are much worse around. When I catch it, I'll post my observations
