How can GGG be running out of opponents?
All GGG has is opponents.
Quillin will not take this fight now. Haymon wont allow it.
But there is Koborov, Johnson, Lemieaux, Chudinov, Murray, Taylor, Monroe Jr. and Cotto. Cotto being the largest purse.
He has a potential match up with guys from Jr. Middle- Andrade, Lara, Alvarez and Matriyosan.
At Super Middle has- Ward, Froch, Chavez Jr., Groves, DeGale, Kessler, Abraham and Ramirez.
GGG has fights. How he wants to mix this up is up to him. I would finish to clean up the MW Division for a little, then take a money fight from Cotto or Alvarez before the end of next year.
Then keep cleaning up middle's, hopefully Haymon let's Quillin out to play, take that fight and then try your hand at the Super Middle's.
But he has fights. And I am THRILLED to see we have someone post-Mayweather to take the banner of boxing. We need a good, clean and likeable standard bearer anyways.
Mayweather has dropped the banner of Boxing. He is no longer the standard bearer, to me that is. That title is vacant and used interchangeably between Hopkins, Wlad and Manny. People we could respect!

He can overtake Bhops record if he fights 4 times a year for 2 years

He can. Certainly more than 80% of the guys from Jr. Middle to Super Middle will be throttled, but fights with Cotto, Alvarez, Ward, Quillin and Taylor would be interesting. To say the very least.
Re: How can GGG be running out of opponents?
.... and the thing now is that people are willing to pay the money to see him fight. He isn't Manny or Floyd money yet, but he certainly can get there with some quality wins and more smashing fights.
The thing with GGG, even when he doesn't knock you out cold, he grinds very strong guys down to a creep before they are made to quit.
I saw him grind down both Rosado and Stevens. Just ground them into the canvas and ring ropes. lolol....
Re: How can GGG be running out of opponents?
GGG needs a big superstar fight just so he can get these other opponents to fight him. If GGG beats Cotto or even Junior I am sure he will command big purses for fighters like Quillin or Saul to take him on.

What a challenge and what an event it would be.
He is too big tho I reckon.
Duran woulda done it.
Duran took on Leonard, Hearns and Hagler -- GGG would be easy. :)
Re: How can GGG be running out of opponents?
You answer your own question by listing the guys below 168. Out of everyone, only Cotto, Alvarez and Quillin would be legit big fights. Unless one of them will sign to fight him, he's left with guys on about the same level as his last few opponents.
It's good to see that he's getting a big following even without the mega fights we're hoping for though, that can only make them more likely to happen.

Maybe once N'Dam dusts off Taylor he can give it a go and bring his new trinket to the table? Didn 't Roach and Cotto say they wanted him already? If Quillin and Jacobs doesn't get made, maybe Danny will be allowed to play outta the sandbox and fight Golovkin..for a couple rounds :-X

Would LOVE to see Hop beat Kov n Stevenson n then meet GGG at 168. I would bet on Hop in that one....
Chavez was ready to fight him...that is until Arum wanted to force him into a bs contract. It would make sense for Cotto to avoid him...since Cotto isn't a legit 160 pounder (despite beating a shot Sergio). Canelo is eyeing the big fight with Cotto...which will make a TON more money than if he fought GGG.

Which means GGG will have to fight for another trinket or top contender. Either way he is favourite and unlikely to make huge money. Still waiting on the side lines for the superstar status because he is too dangerous for Cotto, Canelo and Junior.
