Can Andy Ruiz get better fights?
I know, Ruiz is a guy who you would want to avoid- high risk and low reward. But, the last fight against Lemos was a little bit of a dud.
Do you think he can get better fights than this?
I'm sure you can get Travis Walker, Tomaz Adamek, Brian Minto, Derek Chisora, Derrick Rossy, or even a guy like Steven Cunningham, Amir Mansour or Ortiz or Perez for the right amount of money.
I'm sure Andy can get much better opposition than that.
The last test he had was Tor Hamer. Before that he whooped on Joe Hanks.
Re: Can Andy Ruiz get better fights?
What was his weight lastnight? He damn near looked to be pushing 270+. Well they both did :-X Until he gets that under control regardless of hand speed I don't see him lasting long. Hamer caught him pretty good and he welts up easily.
Re: Can Andy Ruiz get better fights?
James Toney will fight him for the front of a buffet line.
Re: Can Andy Ruiz get better fights?
We have been spoiled by chiselled HW's.... but there is nothing wrong with this guy. If he works out, and keeps his reflexes and doesn't get winded- which I haven't seen him get winded yet- then he may go very far.
He has the best punch combinations in the division outside of Bryant Jennings.
