this is worrying shit
I just switched to android phone after years with a blackberry. The fucking thing linked up to google plus contacts and downloaded all their contacts too. I ended up with 3 people called Dad in my contacts list - none of em mine.
My photos and videos ended up on my smart tv when I did a connection test and every app wanted to sync this, sync that etc
Do I want to share every photo I have ? Do i fuck. Do I want suggested contacts. Do I fuck. God knows what people inadvertently share with the whole world.
This whole thing is fucked up. We are doomed.
In a few years youll probably be having a shit and not realise youre broadcasting it to the whole world.

Agreed. We are doomed. They don't even know how all these apps synching and downloading and being automatically shared and multiple rebroadcast will effect things in the end. I say by 2025 we won't be in the same reality we could even recognize anymore.

me too. Im in Yahoo on my laptop, then Im synched in Google, then my i-phone buzzed that Im skyping someone, so I have to cut off the skype and its to a person who appeared in my contacts as if I accepted the invitation and it says "USE GOOGLE APP - JUST ONCE", so I had to X out of that. I saw 3 photos in another spot that I HAD NOT SENT THEM TO. THIS IS EVIL.

I try to limit myself online now to angry posting here and the occasional email. Beyond that, I think modern technology is causing serious harm. I refuse to sign up for online use on my PS4, won't do social networking, want to burn my cell phone, etc. I am a Luddite and believe the best kind of world is a basic one where we do the work instead of machines as ultimately the machines will take over everything. Drones, robot police, cameras in the TV....what could possibly go wrong? 'It's to make life more convenient, you know'.....right so what happened to those 3 day working weeks. It's more people unemployed and more hours for everyone else! What a crappy system! More people should adhere to the Luddite methodology.
