Fights we should see in 2015 but won't!!
Well, in the era of Haymonomics, we have to talk about shit like this. smh...
Garcia vs. Thurman. This fight SHOULD happen by at least May, 2015. But it probably won't happen at all, let alone by the end of 2015.
Pac vs. Mayweather. I don't think it would happen. I mean, I know they are talking about it. But, it won't happen. We know it's all extra bullshit with nothing to it.
Stevenson vs. Kovalev. Just like Garcia vs. Thurman. Will not happen.
Quillin vs. GGG. This fight SHOULD be what we are talking about in the MW division. But, as Quillin dumping the belt- a unification is what GGG wants- and GGG not even mentioning Quillin anymore, I doubt either of them have the appetite to fight each other at this rate. This fight was not just killed, but the notion of it killed.
Froch vs. Ward 2. Froch just does not want it. He should, but he won't. He will always be that second guy behind both Calzaghe and Ward at different eras.
Wilder vs. Fury/Jennings. These fights won't happen. Most likely IF Wilder wins, he fights Arreola, Briggs or some other nondescript guy like Wach, Pianetta or Perez/Ortiz. Unless he goes straight to the top with Wlad, Wilder will NOT fight Fury and/or Jennings. He will run. He probably won't even rematch Stiverne OR give Povetkin a crack.
Rigondeaux vs. any of the champions between 122 and 130. Quigg and Frampton would take a bite, but anyone else and you're living in a fantasy world. Truly.
Re: Fights we should see in 2015 but won't!!
ps: Anyone noticed how Mikey Garcia ran out of Jr. Lightweight and moved all the way up to Jr. Welter and entered into the WBO Jr. Welter rankings? With the WBO being the softest Jr. Welter ranked organization?
If Chris Algieri is their #1 contender, then you kinda can guess what the rest of it looks like. He won't fight Lucas Matthysee at Jr. Welter his first time out, and he ran from Rances Barthelemy at Jr. Lightweight and ran past Terence Crawford at Lightweight.
Re: Fights we should see in 2015 but won't!!
Garcia and Thurman are in different weight classes.
Ward is pretty much retired and Froch doesnt want to fight him in Cali so it isnt gonna happen. Ward won pretty convincingly the 1st time and little doubt that a rematch would be not have a different outcome.
Pac v Floyd and Kov v Stevenson seems closer than ever and pretty sure at least one will happen in 2015.
Wilder is facing Stiverne in 2015 and Jennings v Klitschko. If Wilder wins he will likely be involved in another big fight. Fury a strong possibility.
Quillin isnt going near GGG and I dont think hes that good anyway so if he wants to throw big money fights away who cares.
Rigo is fighting a decent japanese fighter who is about 6 inches taller than him on new years but again he doesnt bring much to the table to the other champs. Quigg is injured til the summer and Frampton fighting Avalos. Quigg v Frampton would be a big payday in the summer which is much more likely then either fighting Rigo and is a better fight for most people.
Whats with all the complaining man. Lots of good fights made in 2014 and looks like a lot will be made in 2015 too.

GGG v Cotto
Kov v Stevenson
Wlad v Wilder
Thurman v Brooks

Garcia is moving up and Thurman is staying put. We have had talks about fighters moving up to make fights, and so on... this is one fight that the fans should want to see. Don't mind Haymon having control over who talks up what fight, etc... Garcia vs. Thurman is what the underground want to see at Welter.

I have no interest in that fight. Thurman beats him easy. Garcia isnt moving up in weight

Garcia said he was a few months ago. It's harder and harder for him to make weight.

Thumbs down for Kovalev vs Stevenson, but the rest I'd like to see.
The last two are mouth watering!
What is wrong with Kov v Stevenson?
