Ok so they had a seemingly friendly chat, swapped numbers 100% and then this has come to light.
Gotta be good news and the internet today is full of stories that the pair of them are "negotiating" this fight between themselves.
Mayweather has his own Promotional company but i wonder how easy or difficult it would be for Manny to fuck Bob Arum off and sort this out himself.
Obviously he's in a contract but Premiership footballers can be sold and are sold all the time when still under contract - it just means the club who want to buy them pay the selling club a fee for the the remainder of the contract.
Wonder if this is the case here?

Im starting to believe it 100% will too, this was the first time they have ever met and in a public place with no hiding ;)
It was only last week that Mayweather was at a different game sat with Beyonce and the whole crowd were chanting "Pac Pac Pac" at him.
Serious public pressure now all these pics and vids of them meeting and swapping numbers and the "alleged" hotel room meet after the game.

Seeing as this is the only Floyd Manny thread that hasn't degenerated into the usual, yet, I'm posting this here.
I love getting actual concrete information aboutthe deals to make these fights. Unfortunately this information comes out of the mouth of Bob Arum but it has the ring of truth to me, or at least the ring of truthiness. These statements may be based on actual facts if they're not actually factual :
When Matthews asked about the possibility of Mayweather fighting Cotto again, Arum dismissed the idea as “absolute nonsense” because CBS, Showtime’s parent company, would lose too much money on that pay-per-view fight.
“Showtime is now losing about $10-12 million on a Mayweather fight,” Arum explained. “If he fights Cotto, Cotto will want at least $13 million to fight Mayweather, which is about $10 million more than a normal Mayweather opponent. In addition, since Floyd can get $32 million to fight a bus boy, he’s going to want at least another $10 million to fight Cotto. So that means laying out another $20 million [combined for Mayweather and Cotto].
“And since the first fight did about a million, three [1.3 million buys], this fight will probably do a little less, probably a million [buys], a million, one [1.1 million buys]. Which means, if it happens Showtime/CBS would take a bath for $20 million. And they’re not prepared to do that. So all talk about a Cotto-Mayweather fight is absolute nonsense.”

“As far as Cotto is concerned, why wouldn’t he grab it?,” Arum said. “But I’m saying, who’s going to put up the money based on the economics, which were evident in the first Cotto-Mayweather fight and now are, if anything, less, although the bill is more? In other words, if Showtime/CBS said, ‘Well, Arum doesn’t know what he’s talking about. We’re happy to put up the money,’ hey, great. But they’re smart people. They’re not going to do it.”

So if it's true Showtime really did sign a deal with Floyd giving him guaranteed money no matter who he fights. The idiot who signed an exclusive HBO deal with Golden Boy then moves to Showtime and signs a deal with Floyd that manages to lose them ten million a fight. Why is this guy still in a job exactly?
If this is true the only way I can see the Cotto rematch happening is if Floyd takes his usual fee to fight Cotto and Showtime reckon they're going to take a ten million loss anyway so go with Cotto and make sure losses are kept to a minimum.
Anyway, fuck it. It either is or it isn't going to happen. If it is going to happen it'll probably be May rather than September because one of the fuckers could lose and blow a four hundred million dollar event.
