what comes first? boxing or her
Boxing has a big effect on my marriage life, from the time I get to spend with her to not being able to have sex when training for an up coming fight.
1. Has boxing had a big impact of alot of you guy's marriages or relationships?
2. Would you give up boxing for that person or would you choose boxing?

1. no, she understands why I train and what I train for.
2. Uhhh...if I had to I guess I'd give it up, but I'd find some other fight sport to pursue that took less time. Fighting is just my thing man ;D

There are consequences to both sides, but a talked about ,agreed balance is achievable.
Another question could of been; Do any of you guys allow external pursuits including women or boxing to take priority over your own selves?
With a definate yes to that, you could expect problems further down the line within yourself .

i train on:
monday: taekwondo
tuesday: boxing
wednesday: off
thursday: Taekwondo
Friday: Taekwondo
Sat/sun: off
these are my training days, nothing will change them, i have 3 nights a week, 4 if i rush on a friday so no need for any problems.
My gf is a 2nd degree black belt too so she wants to train as much as i do

Any girlfriend of mine must understand that I love boxing and brazilian jiu jitsu, and that asking to give that up, is asking me to give up a big part of myself. I think a woman/man should like you for who you are, including your boxing. Now I'd never expect a girlfriend of mine to come watch me fight... that's different. But if a girlfriend asks me to quit boxing, or skip training... it's time to move on.
What is certain in life is yourself and your pursuits. Why give this up?
