Re: GGG takes on Monroe Jr
Didn't he win the Friday night fights tourney? If it's who I'm thinking of then ggg will destroy him. Hes a decent fighter but nowhere near the level of ggg.
Re: GGG takes on Monroe Jr
I don't understand this match up. It's not a fight I have any real interest in seeing and a stay busy fight when he is in his prime and should be going for big fights? I don't get it.
Re: GGG takes on Monroe Jr
he's ducking me. This is more than abit silly at this point----Monroe Jr, really? Gee, what a fight.
Re: GGG takes on Monroe Jr
For Golovkin its good, because he build his own career by being busy and putting another title defence in the history books. People are so focused on that he should chase this and that "A-level"boxer, instead of letting them come crawling when the pressure from fans are too severe on the glamourous primadonnas. History will always tell about inactivity, and ducking real threat hurt careers. GGG pummels on and defends his championship like the champion he is. Let him do that, because in this game you are not considered old at 30 anymore.

no that's Adrian Broner's style. I beat him with 2 fists to his crystal kazakh chin.

It's just 1 step forward then another step back because the the others simply don't want to fight him.
He should just move up to Super Middleweight and go after some of those guys if he can't secure a Cotto fight next.
The problem Golovkin has is that he needs a huge Ppv fight to launch him into that elite end of boxing, talent wise he's already there but he's not box office yet so he badly needs a huge name on his CV and fast, he's not a young fighter either so he needs to make a choice and soon
Has GGG stated he is capable of moving to SMW? Otherwise I think today's fighters have totally trashed the idea that a solid fighter can stay at one division and rule it-especially if that is where their body is most comfortable.
Stay busy fights with Monroe who? is okay so as long as a threatening foe isn't being ignored. To GGG's advantage the socalled bad boys are ignoring him, not the other way around.
Rule the MW GGG like Monzon, Haglar & Hopkins, rule it until he want to move for his sake, not the fans.
Re: GGG takes on Monroe Jr
Cotto has to fight him soon. then he will be declared lineal champion and he can move on.

That's good because GGG isn't 30 anymore. He'll be 33 before his next fight. He'll get a record, good for him. But if he wants to be remembered as a great he has to beat great fighters, that's how it works.
He will bid his time and pile up those defences, that will enhance his greatness. And fight by fight he will come closer to those defining moments where he will be judged. Not getting those superfights immediatly will only benefit for him.
