Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Imagine GGG facing the winner in the next 12 months... if he could get the fight with Cotto in the next 8-9 months and make a bigger name for himself then this would be another amazing matchup against whoever wins

Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Don't blame him, nice pay day, his power and chin will follow him up or down. I think he should focus on moving up but you can't blame him for wanting a marquee fight.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
I doubt very much if either Floyd or Manny are foolish enough to tackle GGG. Cotto and Alvarez are his ideal targets for a huge pay day.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Of course he wants a pay, and of course neither of these fights will happen. Martinez was singing the same tune a few years ago when he was the top guy at 160 and he was a lot more beatable. The only two names for GGG in his division wouldn't net him nearly as much as one of these fights, and those guys(Cotto and Quillin)won't face him either.
I agree he should move up instead, there isn't much else on the table for him. From his perspective though, if he feels he could make 154 comfortably then that in itself tells you he is quite small for SMW.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Floyd and Pac aren't dumb enough to fight GGG at this stage in their careers.
People should be putting more pressure on Cotto to fight him. Otto wanted to be a MW, he beat the MW champ, now fight the monster at MW.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
I think in hindsight Cotto made a very smart moving taking on Martinez when he did. What some people were saying about his chances in that fight are actually very much true when it comes to Golovkin, Miguel fighting him isn't any less ridiculous than Floyd or Manny doing so imo.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
One thing for sure; HE does deserve a big payday and he does deserve solid opponents.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
GGG has probably more chance of fight Canelo than Floyd, Manny or Cotto.

And GGG vs Canelo would be the hell of a seller but I am not sure that Golden Boy's prized fighter is ready for it and that DLH would risk it in a close future.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Man that fight would be awesome to watch. Canelo commented about Lara that he came to fight, not run, after he won. If he fights GGG, he'll definitely be in for one hell of a fight.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
Canelo wouldn't have a single advantage against GGG, that one will never happen either.
Re: Golovkin says he would drop down in weight and face Floyd or Manny
GGG = High risk and no reward which means he is the new Winky Wright of our time.

Lets be fair to GGG, he is far more exciting and brings knockouts and power. :)

No doubt Master but like I said he is high risk and low reward and because he has these tools he is being avoided like a Winky Plague whose defense was his power. He is no spring chicken and I'm sure most fighters are waiting him out a few more years when father time starts to take its toll on him. He will never get a Manny, Mayweather or a Cotto and I'm sure Ward and Alvarez will jump in weight before they fight him.
