Also, ordinal numbers do not seem to exist to the likes of Jim Lampley, but I do not know if this is an American problem or just a Jim Lampley problem.

Day, month, year makes perfect sense... They are ordered in ascending size.

I feel you on this one, Landing in the states and fill in a blanket for the custom, wait for 45 minutes in line, finally at the counter, Custom guy/girl telling you put in the dates wrong, ending up last in line.....
