Carl Froch would be arrested for Homicide if he fights Chavez Jr.

Why would Froch even need to give Chavez the time of day now?

Well Froch has to retire then! Cos he's turned down every other fight put to him!

Froch needs to fight a legitimate fighter or contender. Not a buffoon.
What has Chavez done to merit a Froch fight?

Carl is in limbo land at the moment he should try and avenge his defeat against Ward, possible 3rd fight with Kessler or De Gale. Options seem limited for him.

I don't see the appeal for him with the DeGale fight. Style wise he would be awkward for him, so he's unlikely to look good, and it's a come down from the high of fighting in front of 80,000 at Wembley. The only logical place he can go to equal that kind of high would be fighting in Vegas, and that dream probably ended with Chavez losing. I'm not so sure how well a Froch - Ward rematch would sell, given Ward hasn't been active at all lately. He was hardly a big seller when he was active. The only way that would make sense would be to have it in the UK, which obviously rules out his Vegas dream.

Personally, he should retire. He's done more than anyone could ever imagine him doing. Even himself.
