Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
Hopefully we can get this as Wlads next fight and it'll sweep away the taste of Shit that Floyd has left in the casual fight fans mouth
Wilder will have a go and throw bombs from the off and Wlad won't run away and will trade with him.
Plus it's the Heavyweights
The American fighter with speed and power vs. the aggressive foreign fighter who is heavily involved in politics — that’s the fight I want to see. No, not a Mayweather-Pacquiao rematch. Let’s move up to the heavyweight division, where, let’s face it, the only truly important boxing occurs.
In this corner, Deontay Wilder, The Bronze Bomber from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, whose record is 33-0 and who holds the WBC world heavyweight championship. Wilder has won 32 of his 33 fights by knockout, none of those lasting past the fourth round. In this corner, Wladimir Klitschko, Dr. Steelhammer from The Ukraine, with a 64-3 record and holder of the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO and The Ring Heavyweight world titles. Klitschko has been a reigning heavyweight champion since 1996, and has the second most successful title defenses of any heavyweight (23), second only to Joe Louis (25).
So, why not this fight? I’m not saying I’d pay $100 to watch it on PPV (I’d watch it through a neighbor’s window, like usual), but it might actually be worth a portion of the hype of the Mayweather-Pacquiao carnival.
Casual boxing fans have probably heard of Klitschko, because he’s 39 and has been around for a while. He was a gold medalist on the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and has been active in Ukranian politics. Wilder is much less known, even though he’s been tearing it up since 2008. He won the WBC title in January of this year with a 12-round unanimous decision over Canadian Bermane Stiverne at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Why no one is talking much about him is kind of a mystery.
But if Wilder fights and beats Klitschko, he’d be everywhere. Alas, that doesn’t look like it will happen soon.
Wilder is supposed to fight Mexico’s Erc Molina in June in Birmingham in a WBC title defense. And Klitschko will next defend his WBA, IBF, WBO, IBO and Ring titles against another undefeated heavyweight, Ireland’s Tyson Fury, on a date yet to be determined. That should actually be an interesting fight as well — Fury is 24-0, 18 by knockout.
Part of the allure of sports is that you have the world’s best facing off against each other, which is why heavyweight boxing is always more compelling than the lower divisions, at least to me. Because as good as Mayweather may be, put him in the ring with a top-tier heavyweight and he gets destroyed.
Wilder-Klitschko is the fight we want to see right now, that is, if you’re still into boxing at all after Saturday.

Clearly this cunts a boxing fan
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
We can only hope the division catches fire and quality matches like it happen soon. But we all saw just last week that a Wlad main event in MSG in most part went silent. In the media and in the ring. I'm surprised that Wilder hasn't had more of a push or more visible after claiming a trinket. Has the charisma, a padded but glossy record and is seemingly in very limited company as far as "legit threat" to Wlad. Only time I've seen him were on a couple quick promos on NBC.
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
Yes, it would be a good thing, historically, it's the heavyweights that garner the interests of the casual fans. Another plus it is very doubtful this would be ppv. In America at least a lot of people don't even know who Wlad is. My faith in Deontay has grown and an American heavyweight champ would certainly stir things up here in the states.
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
agreed! wilder ko's wlad!!!
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
Wilder is makng his first defence in June against dangerous, top contender Eric Molina!!
;D
Normal service is resumed then:rolleyes:
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
Molina would be a typical Fury opponent (if he was 5" shorter)
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
im not sure anything is at where wlad is
how come all the current threads are dominated by threads about the lb4lb bellend in boxing history and the lb4lb farce in boxing history?
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
dont jinx it! now its going to be wlad just running the whole time and wilder wont be able to hit him.
Re: Fuck Floyd - Wlad v Wilder is where it's at!
He can't run from Wilder, Deontay is too athletic with too much reach. Wlad's going to get knocked spark out IMO
He can try the cuddling stuff with Deontay but HOMIE DONT PLAY THAT
