Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
He got destroyed by Povetkin.
I must say that Perez has been one of the biggest disappointments to me in boxing.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
Guzman was even more of a disappointment and Solis has just been a disgrace.
I blame American women and their food for destroying great boxing careers.

Joan Guzman, what a waste. Really wanted to see what he could achieve in boxing but fuckit.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
Wasn't his chin that let him down.
He comes in 20lb overweight, then stands bang in the range of a 230lb heavyweight with his hands down inviting him to smash a right hand into his bonce. Goodnight Irene.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
And yeah Guzman would have beat Pac and co back in the day. Fact. Massive waster

Agree with you. He was throwing his punches like a body builder, he looked a little stiff due to the extra weight.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
If you put your faith in shorter, fat heavyweights who refuse to stay in shape, you're bound to be disappointed. The same thing will happen to Andy Ruiz Jr when he gets in there with a real challenge.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
Povetkin has what's left in his pocket. Advice to Perez, if you fight stupid you look stupid and you make your opponent look like King Kong.
Have to hand it to Povetkin and his team, they knew that window was going to be open. Good win!
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
Perez was lighter than he was vs Jennings.
It was Povetkin who came in at his heaviest ever but he looked much better for it
Perez is lazy like solis, slow starter and Povetkin was an animal last night. Very interested to see this new version of Povetkin and give him a good shot against wilder

Exacto-mondo!
What let him down was that farce of a "defense" where he just stood there pawing lazily with his right hand. Don't know whether he was trying to establish a range, or lull himself and Povetkin to sleep. Either way, Povetkin must've thought Christmas came early this year, the way Perez served himself up on a silver platter.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
I sat through the undercard waiting for that fight
What a disappointment

I do agree I maybe shouldn't put my hopes in them, but when I watched him on prizefighter he wasn't on awful shape, I keep hoping he'll just tone up a little for his next fight.
He never does.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
Most people in this world who would have taken a right hook that clean wouldnt be able to walk after it.
Re: Mike Perez - Where'd that chin go?
With all due respect to Povetkin, he has been DESTROYING his competition as of late. Ever since losing to Wlad in that disgraceful hugging match, and making top contenders appear as if they should not even be in the ring with him.

He is in line for a shot against Wilder. Povetkin showed us how to sneak up on the inside if you're facing a Southpaw. Perez did not even see it coming.... sorta like a check right upper-cut. Both times.
