Christian Gonzalez, the brother of ex featherweight champ Alejandro Gonzalez, has opened the show and is battering a weary Darryl Hayes here in the 5th. The ref is treating Hayes like a mall cop finding a lost child. Members of commission go to Hayes corner...during the round...and 'ask' if they want to stop it ??? The ref has now deducted 2 points from Hayes

Unheralded Carlos Morales 8-1-3 put a beating on favorite Emanuel Gonzalez 14-1 in 3rd and continues to do so in 4th! Very sharp and oozing confidence. Not bad for a kid who started 0-1-3

68-66 Morales who is picking his hard shots. Deceptively odd mix of speed and mobility by Morales. Be a damn shame if judges come and screw this guy as Gonzalez looks adrift going into final round.

They toll ten count for a former game show host before main event? Rip. No mention of the fighters who died this month. RIP. Rameriez way in over his head in 2nd. Dropped hard but up. Velez should lose a point for wearing dress socks and Charlie Brown trunks FFS. Looks at em ;D

Velez at his slappy best and again not hard to find. That head pops off his own shoulder like a pez dispenser..high! Can't see him beating Russell jr

Velez still a bit too easy to hit IMO. But I did see a little improvement over his last fight. He's in a very competitive division, but let's see how high he can go. He's got heart and is entertaining to watch.

Female ref Sharon Sands is the man, she definitely will not stand for holding. She took a point from Hayes in second for holding. She doesn't want any pushing of the opponents head down either. She took another point from Hayes in the fifth round I think. It was a six round fight.

Velez is from Puerto Rico, they have a style of their own. I thought it was a pretty good fight, Remeriez lost but gave Velez a fight.
