Manny/Floyd vs. the earbite fight; which was worse?
Which of these two fights do you think was the bigger letdown, the Pacquiao vs. Mayweather, or the Tyson vs. Holyfield II?
I didn't watch the Tyson/Holyfield live way back when, so I can't imagine what must have went through spectator's minds as it first happened, but as shocking and disgraceful as it was, I actually like that fight better between the two. At least there was some excitement in that fight.

I wasn't let down by the Manny/Floyd fight TBH because it went just like I expected, more or less.
I think the ear bite was much worse, but if you were one of the many dopes who thought Pac was gonna blitz Mayweather like he's done to much lesser quality opponents, then I can see how Mayweather/Pac was more disappointing.

May vs PAC went pretty much how I though it would. I said before the fight there's no way PAC would win more than 3 rounds. Tyson Holyfield 2 was a let down by the way it ended but good on Tyson that cunt Holyfield is a dirty bastard !

Two fights that are going down in history for all the wrong reasons, but the Tyson v Holyfield fight was more "interesting" if that's the right word. It's not every day you see something like that!
Re: Manny/Floyd vs. the earbite fight; which was worse?
Holyfield-Tyson easily, nobody could have called that, and it was a guaranteed action fight that was delivering until the bite. Tyson had plenty left and would have kept it exciting no matter what, but he quit. How is that not a bigger letdown? With Floyd-Manny the first 30 seconds of the fight pretty much told you it might never take off.

You're not suggesting that Tyson was a "clean" fighter, are you?!? Mike tried to break his arm in a clinch and was notorious for late punches and hitting on the break. What I love about Evander is that he didn't whine, he just gave it back...
Re: Manny/Floyd vs. the earbite fight; which was worse?
It's too bad the Manny/Floyd fight was so overhyped. I really don't think any fight could have lived up to the expectations.
The hype took on a life of it's own, and was then stoked by every mother's son who had a chance of making money off the fight.
Casual fans and their friends were sucked in by the hype vortex and were, of course, expecting the kind of fight they saw in Rocky.
Truthfully, I was into the fight and enjoyed it. Then Manny, Roach, and Arum started making excuses for the loss.
The ear bite fight was bad, the perfect picture of a completely frustrated fighter who took the fastest way out of a fight. Completely unexpected!
Re: Manny/Floyd vs. the earbite fight; which was worse?
As far as worse on a bigger picture I say Mayweather and Manny. Firstly because these two twats teased and taunted over 5 years and only got older and fans were left in a lurch. When it kicked off the hysteria in mass media was almost comical with "fight of the Century" repeated 1001 times. Boxing almost got to big for it self overnight..we knew it, knew the styles and particulars regardless of preference, knew paying 100 for one of the weakest ppv cards in recent memory was insanity. But the next morning its like the sport was hijacked with the shout of "boxing is dead" by every media mouthpiece known. They were actually surprised that it wasn't Hagler Hearns :-X Holyfield Tyson was also one that many thought had passed its prime but came down to the actions of one man acting like some bath salts smoking Hyena. These were heavyweights who had already sold in long awaited 1st meeting and traded bombs. There was already conclusion in Mike being tko'd and then punking out via bite(s).

I don't think Tyson is as dirty as Holyfield yes Tyson did like to punch after people went down but he was just that aggressive I don't think he was trying to be dirty. As for the arm break it wasn't half as bad as people say and Holyfield had already started with the headbutts by that point. I agree Holyfield just got on with it but he was way dirtier that Tyson

Look at the Savarese fight. The Botha fight. The Holyfield fights. Evander, much like Time Bradley, fights in an aggressive/ugly/tough manner and definitely doesn't try to avoid head clashes. Tyson on the other hand admittedly attempts actions he knows are against the rules, many with potentially debilitating affects (arm bar/torque). Haven't ever heard anyone claim Evander was even as dirty as Tyson, never mind claiming he was way dirtier.
Re: Manny/Floyd vs. the earbite fight; which was worse?
Tyson let everyone down by biting and getting himself deliberately disqualified.
Floyd is boring as fuck and does not want to get hit in the face anymore but could not resist the money. Floyd is a let down anyway. Pac is worse because he did not capitalise.
