No one between 154 and 175...
Can beat Andre Ward EXCEPT for Kovalev, and if at 175 Kov stands the best chance out of anyone in this mix.
I just don't see anyone winning a UD against Ward, unless he is robbed... against a name like GGG or some other name of the day.
DeGale- UD loss
Quillin- UD loss
Lee- stoppage late
GGG- UD loss, maybe a split. Closer than many others
Kovalev- at 175 a toss up, at a catchweight below, Ward dominates in a UD
Abraham- UD loss
Froch- depending on how bad Froch wants it, a UD loss, again
Groves- KO
Soliman- KO
Lemieux- KO
Sturm- UD loss
Stevenson- embarrassing UD loss
Andrade- UD loss
Fonfara- UD loss
Jacobs- KO late
Both Dirrell brothers- UD losses
Chilemba- UD loss
Cleverly- UD loss
Bellew- KO
Chavez Jr- UD
I just don't see Ward being beaten. He may break the Marciano record. I feel he may go for it too. He can, even with the inactivity. 3 fights a year for the next 7 years, he can do it. It is a long time, but it can be done.
Re: No one between 154 and 175...
Watch this space Ward wont have more than another 8 fights , and that's if he wins them.
Kovolev wins by KO in my opinion.
Re: No one between 154 and 175...
Ward will never fight Kov.

What makes you say that? He just fought and beat Paul Smith!!! That is something not even the great Tony Dodson could accomplish. A win of that magnitude puts you up there with the Steve Bendall's of this world.

We all know Smith was the comeback fight. A Smith that just took Arthur Abraham, a current world champion and also someone Ward beat handily, to a 12 round gruelling fight.
Smith is no world beater, but he was no slouch. Ward handled him comfortably.
Next up for Ward is anyone in the top 5. Possibly an alphabet champion, but certainly no more top 20 ranked guys below the top 5 spot if not higher.
Re: No one between 154 and 175...
I would love to see Ward try that posing and mauling falling in stuff with Kovalev. Kov would leave the ring minus a boot and Ward would waddle to Urgent Care to get it pulled outta his arse.
Re: No one between 154 and 175...
Right now Ward has really only one true option at 168 and that's James DeGale. It's a good fight with Ward the considerable favorite. Ward on points.
At 160, GGG is a good fight. With the weight advantage, Ward will be tough to beat. I like Ward on points.
At 175, he has Pascal, Kovalev, Stevenson, Alvarez and Beterbiev. These are tougher to call. Ward on points maybe, but the Kovalev fight is interesting.
Re: No one between 154 and 175...
Ward would lose to Kov and Stevenson.
