Are the US fans excited by any other of their Heavyweights?
I'm a firm believer that we need good American Heavyweights to reignite the division. America is where the money is and I think mainstream interest will return if there are more guys from the USA at the top of the division. Besides Deontay Wilder, is there anyone else you guys are excited about?
Re: Are the US fans excited by any other of their Heavyweights?
Bryant Jennings is still out there, Charles Martin 21(19 KO)-0-1 is getting some good experience, Jarrell Miller 13(11 KO)-0-1, Trevor Bryan, Michael Hunter, John Wesley Nofire (big guy, could either be really good or another Savarese/Big Sky), Alexander Flores, and of course Trey Lippe (Tommy Morrison's kid).
There's more to be excited about for the future, but hell there are ALWAYS prospects, but they don't always pan out. I remember thinking Messi and Guinn would do something....they never did.
Re: Are the US fans excited by any other of their Heavyweights?
I've given up on being excited about any HW because they never turn out good. If there turns out to be a good HW, you will know. They will just steam roll through the division. They won't need to be led along and matched up well because the top contender I'm the HW division is equal to the #30 guy at another weight.
Re: Are the US fans excited by any other of their Heavyweights?
Desperate times call for desperate measures ;D Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller. The bad news is he weighs more than Andy Ruiz jr. The good news is can put the wwe roster to shame on the microphone and promotion, calls out Wilder as often as he calls Dominos, and is absolutely massive. His legs and arse alone weigh more than a rehydrated straw weight champ and chest is the size of a tipped over keg! Good puncher with a finisher mindset. 28 yrs old though and has fought long stints in mma, kickboxing and Muay thai. Hey I'll buy more into a former kickboxer than I would an ex football player in the States ;D. Those don't seem to work out well.

I remember thinking that also, only saw the fight live the one time, but it was clear all Banks had to do was let his hands go after the first result. I'll bet he was offered something not to do so and decided that was worth as much for his career.

It looked like a training exercise and in spots Mitchell looked like he was looking for it. With Banks training Wlad had to be clear as day.
