No reason given as neither fighter is injured, but likely this is due to Floyd still not announcing his opponent and a short notice viable undercard being required. My guess is this will be rescheuled for September 12th.
Interesting. CBS must be banking on a lot of viewers and a pot of gold from ads paying close to Superbowl prices. I keep trying to figure out how he could still be guaranteed his 32 million base while telling the public that viewership will be free. And it ends the showtime contract. Then again Cbs does own Showtime. Floyd must have guaranteed some kind of number. Makes total sense that they'd add this fight.
