Kovalev - Beterbiev could happen if negotionations are fair
Beterbiev Accepts Kovalev Challenge - HBO is No Issue! - Boxing News
Beterbiev is in a position where he's not associated with Showtime like Stevenson is. He's highly ranked with the IBF too and it's a make sense fight with their past and them both coming from Russia. Kovalev wants to defend in Russia and Duva has a potential date for them there. Beterbiev will accept their demands as long as they are fair, so lets hope Duva makes them a fair offer and we have ourselves a fight !!!

Could we be so lucky? Great fight that I would love to see. I think Barrera is more likely

A lot of talk about Pascal rematch because he was on undercard..so was Barrera :author: Its suppose to be a 'return home' so Barrera make Cents. If happens tomorrow Kovalev takes Beterbiev to pro school. Packs him a lunch even and pats his arse if you ask me. Sends him on
Re: Kovalev - Beterbiev could happen if negotionations are fair
Kovalev is at the top of his game . so maybe they are thinking get Beterbiev before he gets more experience and becomes even more dangerous ?
Re: Kovalev - Beterbiev could happen if negotionations are fair
I can't see Haymon going for this. If it does happen the fight will be when Berbetiev has more experience and will be on Haymon's terms and not in Russia.
Re: Kovalev - Beterbiev could happen if negotionations are fair
From what we're hearing here in Quebec, the climate seems pretty pretty good so it happens in a few months; Duva wants it, Yvon Michel wants it, Kovalev wants it and Beterbiev REALLY wants it. Beterbiev will be declared the mandatory in a few days after Krusher demolished Mohammedi. All the pieces are here and there is no television network feuds like with Stevenson so my bet is that it'll be officially announced within a month.
As for experience, Beterbiev is REALLY a monster and has all his chances (in my opinion) against Kovalev; he's pretty fast, he'S very technical and he hits damn hard too (and we have seen that Kovalev's solid but not made of steel neither). And Beterbiev did beat Kovalev in the amateurs... twice.
