Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
I'm starting to get fed up of this. Al Haymon has most of them and yet none of the top guys fight each other. Khan, Thurman, Garcia, Porter & Brook (who's promoter has a good working relationship with Haymon) all bitch about the fact they don't get the Mayweather fight and yet are all happy to tomato can their way to it and criticse Floyd for fighting Berto. This is a rich in talent division and they need to start taking the 50-50 fights against each other.
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
Yep the whole situation is a joke and khan is perhaps the worst his refusal to fight brook or anybody that might be dangerous in the hope of getting mayweather is simply embarrassing . I think mayweather fighting berto is a piss take as well if he's going to hang up the gloves after this fight what an anticlimax . If it's PPV I won't be paying for this tripe

Are we positive it's going to be PPV?
We all know Floyd is the *BCE, while at the same time being the TBE and an ATG. Maybe the rest of the division is looking at Floyd and thinking he cherrypicked his way to the top, so can I.
Floyd Mayweather, the leader of the pack, the biggest pack of cherrypickers in boxing. All under the direction of Big Al aka Al Haymon.
*BCE: Best Cherrypicker Ever
Floyd will fight a 50th fight.

i hadn't noticed, till now. I'd have to agree with your assessment.
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
The exposure aspect is great and he struck another deal with Fox for Tuesday shows but you can see potential for quantity over quality. He made it a point to hoard fighters like the old lady down the street hoards cats and also signed cannon fodder to build than up. It's early on but this is why having a potential monopoly can result in stagnation just like it does when rival promoters refuse to work making 'big' fights. Porter v Broner was a step in the right direction but I believe it will be the exception for the short term. The pieces are there for this division to explode. I just don't want to watch 101 showcases for heavy favourites to get there.
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
Sooner Floyd and Manny retire the welterweight will go back to normal.

Agreed 100%.
So much talent at WW but all they seem to do is talk about fighting Floyd and then take on underwhelming opponents when they don't get the Floyd fight.
I'm not going to accuse anyone of ducking anyone or being cowardly, because I don't know what the negotiations are like and what goes on behind closed doors.
But I know I would LOVE to see Thurman vs Brook. Or Khan vs Thurman. Or Brook vs Khan. Or Khan vs Porter. Or Porter vs Thurman.
And hey, we also have Tim Bradley there in the mix, as well as Danny Garcia. How about those guys against any of the fighters mentioned above? Or even against each other?
I want to see these guys fight each other, determine who is the absolute best challenger at WW and have that guy face Mayweather in his 50th fight.
You throw any of those guys in with May now and people are like "meh, it's ok." But what if Thurman got a Mayweather fight after knocking out Kel Brook and Amir Khan? Much bigger fight.

Yes! Imagine if they had done it this year instead of fighting "have not's"? We'd have a mega challenger for Floyd in May.
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
The problem is that once mayweather is gone, who is the man at 147? They need to start fighting each other now to prove who really is the best
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
Yeah, I'm getting sick of this welterweight BS. I'm running out of bad things to say about Floyd and Im getting sick of talking about Khan. Yeah man, I'm sick of the whole f-ing thing!
Re: Anyone else getting sick of this Welterweight bullshit?
Pfft the welterweight division is nothing special. If it was you wouldnt have natural lightweights dominating it.
