Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
For Eggington's British and Commonwealth titles.
From Kell Brook to 21-year-old Sam Eggington. Gavin should be a strong favourite, however, considering he can't punch, and Egg has looked like he's rapidly improving in his last few fights, this is a good fight.
Odds?
Re: Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
There have been a lot of boxing fights announced lately from September to November.
Re: Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
I'm looking forward to this one, both both are fellow Brummies but I fucking hate Gavin and he's a blues fan (not sure who Eggington supports but I'm going to pretend he's a Villa fan)
I thought they would have looked to some other decent fights in this division before throwing him in with Gavin, there are people like Skeet who he could have gone in with (even though I think Skeet is very much on the same level as Gavin he isn't as well known)
I honestly believe Eggington can do this one and I don't think they would have made the fight if they didn't believe it as well.
Nice to see a young lad taking the best possible fights instead of trying to protect his record like so many others do.

Hope Eggington tonks him, im enjoying the the young lads progression

I reckon Egginton should be fav but Im on holidays this week and one of the lads put Gavin up a decent fav. Too big and strong for Gavin who just looks to be getting worse and worse with every fight in my opinion.
Few other good fights PP just prices. Flanagan Magdalenos a close fight and Soro v Smith should be good too. Shaping up to be one of the best cards in England in a long time this Lee Saunders card
Re: Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
If I still bet online I would have taken the 11/8 about Eggington and the 7/4 about Soro to beat Smith.
My first thoughts were Egg will be too big for the powderpuff punching Gavin.
Re: Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
who is this soro guy? is he any good?
Re: Sam Eggington-Frankie Gavin October 17th. Fact.
Gavin said he still plans to move down but the offer of this fight came up.
I'd have Gavin as a slight fav but Eggington has been on fire. The experience may the edge for Gavin but he has never really impressed me against the better opposition he's faced.
The UK scene has started to be fantastic with excellent fights being made. I'll be backing Eggington.

Sam Eggington stunned at his own rise - | Boxing News - boxing news, results, rankings, schedules since 1909
This is a good story. The young fella never had any intention of being a pro boxer (30 odd am fights). He lost his job as a forklift driver. To earn a living he asked his current trainer if he could become a journeyman to get a regular income. The trainer realised he was to good for that - hence he is the current British and Commonwealth champion at 21 in two and half years.
His two defeats have come in Prizefighter (which clearly means nothing). He isn't bothered by losses. He doesn't follow boxing. He will fight anyone his team put to him.
