The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
Cant believe Eastman is still fighting. In fact, I've kinda selectively forgotten everything he's done since his barn burner with BHOP.
BoxRec - Howard Eastman
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
Damn, can't believe he's still fighting. He was a hell of a fighter, never one put up there with the English favorites: Benn, Eubank, Hatton, Bruno, Lewis etc....but he had a good record and had some good fights. He did take the fight to BHop, although he ended up losing it was a great effort vs a great champion.
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
A terrific loon.
Couple of days before he fought Hopkins --- What do you think of Bernard Hopkins? "I've never seen him fight"
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
Wasn't that fight on main stream TV in the UK? I remember having a slight memory of it absolute years ago when I was a lot younger
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
I can recall seeing Eastman fight loads of times on Sky and BBC. So it very well could have been the BBC. They used to show delayed fights from the States around that time.
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
not that he would have ever beaten hopkins but he was over the hill by that time, which was ages ago
i seem to remember his fight with Joppy being good
Re: The Battersea Bomber Bombs on...
Not sure what channel it was on. Master definitely listened to it on 5live though.

Was the first Hopkins fight I'd seen.
Eastman was on the BBC with the likes of Haye, Witter, Woods, Harrison and Pickering.
Good days, come to think of it.

Yes quality days and he beat his trainer Robert McCracken and gave a good account against Joppy.
