I think Viktor Postol by beating Lucas Matthysse deserves a shot at Manny Pacquiao.
But I know Bob Arum won't do it. He'll put Pacquaio in with another no-hoper, someone like the feather-fisted Chris Algieri.
Postol made just $100,000 for fighting Matthysse, and has never had a decent payday in his life. He deserves better!
Maybe Postol does deserve a payday, and maybe it will be against Pac. But if it's down to Arum ,I reckon he'll put him in with Crawford. I reckon he'll have no more use for Pac, so it'll be "the King is dead, long live the King!" He'll have no Sympathy for Pac.
If Manny has a say in it, I reckon it'll be Khan. More money than Postol and a fairly easy nights work for his swan song.
If Manny has a say he will want Floyd for the money and retirement, or Algeri for easy defence or JMM for revenge in that order.
Postol vs. Danny Garcia means more.

It was a really great performance from postol against matthysse but steady on :S Matthysse had already been beaten 3 times before the loss to postol, he's one of my favourite boxers but a good win against him doesn't make you a superstar who deserves a fight v someone like pacquaio, in my opinion of course.. It would certainly be a very interesting fight but I think someone like crawford deserves it far more, I guess a fight of crawford and postol would be ideal though.
Crawford has an infinitely better chance than Postol of getting a Pacquiao fight, because he is also with Arum. I think Pacquiao would probably lose to both and agree that those two fighting each other is much more interesting.
Postol has work to do at 140, not 147 yet. Going off that complete performance vs Matthysse you want to see him fight Crawford soon.
Is it me or did nobody else see Postol struggling against an average fighter with a big punch? And what is this "deserves" a payday bullshit......what is going on in this world.
Interesting as Roach was just saying a week ago that he didn't think Crawford could hang with Victor. I think Crawford the better fighter but figured no way that Arum gambles on that matchup in fear of ruining Crawfords career and his future tit.Quote:
