SAM EGGINGTON-BRADLEY SKEETE/Yafai Bro's - Sat/SKY. Fact.
This looks a good matchup for Eggington's British and Commonwealth titles. A come forward basher against a back foot beanpole. Incidentally it's a Hearn-vs-Warren match - Matchroom won the purse bid and surprisingly the other mob didn't pull their man. Progress.
Skeete knows how to use his height/reach (6ft+ welter), has a good jab, is not a big puncher (although not powderpuff either) and his only loss in 23 fights was a close decision to Frankie Gavin.
Eggington went from being a nobody to a Sky TV fighter to now a headliner. Has two losses in 19 fights - both coming in prizefighter when he was a teenager (means nothing). Since then he's been on a roll, picking up the British and Commonwealth last year. Looks like he punches harder than his record suggests and is improving all the time (he's only 22) despite being dumped on his arse last time out against Evans (turned the fight around).
I've seen some respected judges picking Skeete. Think the old adage is always back the boxer over the brawler.
Bookies have it really tight. Skeete is best priced 11/8, Egg 5/6. If Skeete wins I think the most likely outcome will be on PTS which is a 2/1 shot. Egg is 7/4 PTS. The draw is generally 20/1.
Fight to not go the distance is 2/1.
Re: SAM EGGINGTON-BRADLEY SKEETE/Yafai Bro's - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I think I have seen everyone of Skeetes televised fights, not so much because I follow his career I just always seem to catch them.
I'm not his biggest fan in his early days he just looked gangly and ungainly, in the early stages of his career he certainly did look to be a powderpuff puncher but then he seemed to find a little bit of power and started winning via stoppage.
I actually had him beating Gavin it was a really close fight that could have gone either way, Skeete has improved and it should be a good close fight.
Re: SAM EGGINGTON-BRADLEY SKEETE/Yafai Bro's - Sat/SKY. Fact.
I think Skeete is boring to watch, but I reckon he'll have the skills to beat Eggers on points. The two Yafai brothers on the undercard, and this Gamal Y v Bobby Jenkinson is a nice little scrap so far.

In my first post I said I'm not his biggest fan but I did mean to mention that he has improved a hell of a lot.

Don't expect him to be straight back in the ring, that little bad boy will take a while to heal up.
