Hillary Clinton has always been unlikeable, fake, inconsistent, and just as prone to lying as the worst politicians. A Hillary presidency would be a disaster for the US. I doubt Hillary would be able to stand up under the strain of governing a country through some tough domestic and international issues.
On the other hand, Bernie Sanders, who may be a much better candidate for POTUS, just seems so old and frail. That's got to play into the minds of voters. US Presidents usually age while in office. Sanders is already there.
