Round two of George Foreman and Ron Lyle is a hysterical round. It went one minute and 59 seconds and nobody noticed except for Howard Cosell. Two rounds later somebody whispered to Cosell that the round was indeed 2 minutes long and he was sure to say that he suspected he had been right.

Can a bell be unrung? If a delinquent timekeeper rings the bell for sinister reasons and somebody notices, can it be overridden by an official in real time so that the round continues?
No the timekeeper is the sole keeper of time. If it found that the timekeeping is wrong it can be brought the attention of the supervisor, but it cannot be 'overridden' per se.Quote:
